Please pray for…

  • Our faculty as we continue the process of having Emanuel become accredited by the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA).
  • All the plans for the Silent Auction and all the hours of work that go into making a successful event.
  • The missionaries in Peru as they share the Gospel.

Thank you to…

Mission Statement

Rooted in Christ, Emanuel Lutheran School partners with families supporting the

spiritual and educational development of children.

Chapel Theme - "Fruit of the Spirit"

Throughout this school year we will be focusing on the nine Fruit of the Spirit.  Each month we will focus on one fruit.  At the end of each month we will highlight students who have displayed the fruit in a special way.

Silent Auction and Dinner

Emanuel Lutheran School’s 17th Annual Silent Auction has been set for Saturday, March 16, 2019 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm.  Mark your calendars and plan on attending and working at this major fundraiser for our school.  We hope you are all trying to sell at least one booklet of tickets.  Remember to turn in all sold ticket money and unsold tickets to your child’s teacher by Friday, February 22, 2019 since these counts will assist in the dinner menu planning. We are in the process of collecting items to be bid on at the Silent Auction.  If you or someone you know is interested in making a donation for this event, please contact Betty Sprengeler at (612) 418-4152 or Julie Wischnack at (612) 702-1220 with your donation information.  We would like all donations to be delivered to the school by March 1, 2019.  Each classroom will once again be collecting items for their classroom theme baskets.  Items for classroom theme baskets can be brought to school anytime between now and Friday, February 22, 2019.  You should have received the sign-up sheet for working at the Silent Auction & Dinner.  Please consider working one or more of the various tasks and return the form to school.  Your prayers and everyone’s willingness to participate in a fundraising event of this size will make for an enjoyable and successful evening.

Third Quarter Chapel Offerings

As we begin 3rd Quarter, our chapel offerings will be going to Heifer International. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase one heifer.  To make that happen, we need $500 in chapel donations.  The milk helps feed children and the fertilizer is used to help the farm raise more crops.

Do you have a 529 Plan? Are you a parent or grandparent of a young child?

The new tax code has changed rules about 529 College Savings Plans.  The funds are now eligible to be used for education from Kindergarten through college.  There are actually advantages to using the funds before college.  Please contact Mr. Bentz to find out about the advantages if you have an existing plan.  If you have a new youngster in your family, contact Mr. Bentz to find out reasons to get one started.  Mr. Bentz is not an expert and will not give investment advice, he simply hopes to let you know about some new options.

School Tours and Enrollment

If you know of any families that are searching for a school home, please contact Mr. Bentz in the school office.  He would love to set up a tour of the school or simply talk about the programs and people of Emanuel.

Tuition Assistance Fund

Each year many of our Emanuel students benefit from tuition assistance.  If you would like to make a donation toward this fund, please contact Mr. Bentz.  Any size gift will help.  Our hope is that family finances will not keep any student from hearing the Gospel here at Emanuel.

Amazon Smile

If you shop on Amazon, you can help Emanuel as well.  If you go to www.smile.amazon.com you can sign up to support Emanuel Lutheran School.  The shopping experience is the same as a typical visit to Amazon, but we receive a percentage of your purchase.  If you have questions, please talk to Mr. Bentz.

Scrip Makes Cents

The Scrip Program helps raise money for our PTL by selling gift cards and certificates. The Scrip fund receives a discount when purchasing these cards/certificates, then sells them at face value. You pay nothing extra and PTL receives thousands of dollars a year. It’s that simple! Scrip will be sold on all Sundays and communion Saturdays after church.  We will be sending home an updated list of all available Scrip soon.  If you have questions, please contact Greg Cummins.
