Raider Report

September 2017

Please pray for…

  • The beginning of the school year as we live out our theme "It's Still All About Jesus".
  • Pastor Triplett and his family as they make transitions to Emanuel.
  • Mayer Lutheran High School as they prepare for building the new entry and field house.
  • Good weather to benefit the crops and continued safety for farmers as they work to provide food for our nation and our world.
  • Mary Stuedeman our new 3rd and 4th grade teacher.
  • The transition of students into new classrooms.
  • Parents and teachers as we work together to help students grow and develop the gifts with which God has blessed them.

Thank you to…

  • Dean Panning, Greg Cummins, Vana Bruch, Chad Wilkens, and Brian Wilkens for all their work to restore the science room floor.  Come check it out.
  • Betty Sprengeler and Julie Wischnack for their work to put a bit more shine in some classrooms.
  • Mrs. Vollbrecht, Blake Wischnack, and other students as they tended and harvested all the wonderful produce from the school garden.
  • All the Ribfest workers who helped create a delicious event, as well as all the great people who donated and helped us raise funds for Emanuel.

Raiders praise God for

  • All the new families who have joined the community of Emanuel.
  • All the generous donors who have given toward tuition assistance and the impact that will have on families.
  • God’s gracious hand of blessing for Ribfest.

If you are asked to help with this event, please consider lending a hand. Great food and drinks will be offered throughout the tourney. Come and join the fun.

Tuition Assistance Deadline

Emanuel has a tuition assistance fund to help families who are unable to keep current with their tuition account. The deadline for applications is August 15th.  Assistance forms are available online at  Once at the site, select Family Login to begin the process. If you would like more information on this process, or would like a paper application, please contact Mr. Bentz at school. You may also contact TADS at 1-800-477-8237.

School Tours and Enrollment

If you know of any families that are searching for a school home, please contact Mr. Bentz in the school office.  He would love to set up a tour of the school or simply talk about the programs and people of Emanuel.

Tuition Assistance Fund

Each year many of our Emanuel students benefit from tuition assistance.  If you would like to make a donation toward this fund, please contact Mr. Bentz.  Any size gift will help.  Our hope is that family finances will not keep any student from hearing the Gospel here at Emanuel.

Amazon Smile

If you shop on Amazon, you can help Emanuel as well.  If you go to you can sign up to support Emanuel Lutheran School.  The shopping experience is the same as a typical visit to Amazon, but we receive a percentage of your purchase.  If you have questions, please talk to Mr. Bentz.

Scrip Makes Cents

The Scrip Program helps raise money for our PTL by selling gift cards and certificates. The Scrip fund receives a discount when purchasing these cards/certificates, then sells them at face value. You pay nothing extra and PTL receives thousands of dollars a year. It’s that simple! Scrip will be sold on all Sundays and communion Saturdays after church.  We will be sending home an updated list of all available Scrip soon.  If you have questions, please contact Greg Cummins.
